Welcome to the New TarotHistory.com

I’ve decided to change the format of tarothistory.com to a blog format.

When I launched this site in 2005, I intended it to create a portal to all things related to Tarot History on the web. Sadly, other projects diverted attention from the project, leaving the site underdeveloped and under-loved.

On February 29, (an auspicious day if ever there was one), 2008, the site has been reborn as a blog. The goal is still the same, but hopefully it will be easier to manage and contribute content using this format rather than a standard HTML site.

I hope you enjoy the site, and find useful information as you explore the fascinating world of Tarot History.

That s the best start point for any serious attempt to try to understand what s Tarot all about.
Aside far aside from “petit fables” …
As Tchalai Unger said ” Tarot is in the Tarot ” (Not outside as clearly you know )

  • Robert:
You know that I strong avoid childish cards meanings as You.
And I can say that yuo have an attitude for me of the highlest value.
    You Respect the Image cards
You don t try to put anything inside them.
You work on decode Image cards.
I hope people comes here with an Impersonal approach just to learn what cards tell Us.
Cards are all what I have and not a single historic serious book about meaning, only misty guess about historical facts.
Of course each one have his personal point of view, but I expect may be I must say I pray, that your site be a meet point for cards iconographic deep analyze,a topic for us to much important as crucial.
Not only because isn t usual on the Net in a deep serious way as the sites you mentioned.
For all I have no doubt this will be a place for Open Minds which leaves aside Preconception in a strong literal sense I mean.
Undoubtedlty you qualify for the purpose you began.

I ll be here don t mind if you decide the purpose or not.

My best wishes from Argentina !

    Eugim
