What a wonderful gift to share with everyone. I am struck by the images in the way that they evoke a response through the gestures, and through the movement of each figure. Although there is no identification as to which suit they belong to, it is the "mind" of the energetic quality of each card that carries the communication. I have been working with the Mythic deck for years, but this one tops all. Thank you so much!

So happy I found your blog!
I was just looking for images from the Mitelli's deck.
These cards are gorgeous although they are so unusual that sometimes it is difficult to recognize them.
For example which tarot is this
with a man ready to strike a sleeping boy with a hammer?
My favorite is the Hermit with the stars overlooking his search.
Great blog, keep up the good work!

From the looks of this pack, It looks like one that was used to play the game of Trappola, rather than a tarot deck. The game was played with a deck that was numbered ace, 2, 7, 8, 9, 10, page, knight, king, in the four suits that are used for tarots . The deck for the game was said to have been produced by taking a tarot deck, & removing the queens (Italian decks to this day have no Queens), majors, and the numbers 3-6, leaving us with 36 cards. I suspectn that this suit of cups came from a tarot deck treated in this fashion.

I enjoy the Tarot de Paris and am interested to find out why the Tarot de Marseille became more popular than this one. I like it`s simple and artistic style. Guy

Thank you so much for sharing this! Although not having an Empress also lets me down, I've got to agree with you: it is an amazing deck!

You are too kind in having such a wonderful website where we can browse great articles.

Thank you!
